Convictions that form the foundation of our lives

Matthew 7:24-28 NLT
[24] “Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock. [25] Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won’t collapse because it is built on bedrock. [26] But anyone who hears my teaching and doesn’t obey it is foolish, like a person who builds a house on sand. [27] When the rains and floods come and the winds beat against that house, it will collapse with a mighty crash.” [28] When Jesus had finished saying these things, the crowds were amazed at his teaching,

John 14:1-6 ERV
[1] Jesus said, “Don’t be troubled. Trust in God, and trust in me. [2] There are many rooms in my Father’s house. I would not tell you this if it were not true. I am going there to prepare a place for you. [3] After I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back. Then I will take you with me, so that you can be where I am. [4] You know the way to the place where I am going.” [5] Thomas said, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?” [6] Jesus answered, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. The only way to the Father is through me.

Eternity is real.

2 Corinthians 4:16-18 ERV
[16] That is why we never give up. Our physical body is becoming older and weaker, but our spirit inside us is made new every day. [17]We have small troubles for a while now, but these troubles are helping us gain an eternal glory. That eternal glory is much greater than our troubles. [18] So we think about what we cannot see, not what we see. What we see lasts only a short time, and what we cannot see will last forever.

Eternal convictions.

Hebrews 12:1-3 NLT
[1] Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. [2] We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne. [3] Think of all the hostility he endured from sinful people; then you won’t become weary and give up.
