    Do You Want More Wisdom?

    David Yu
    Do you want more wisdom?

    Proverbs‬ ‭3:14-15, 18‬ ‭NLT‬‬
For wisdom is more profitable than silver, and her wages are better than gold. Wisdom is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her. Wisdom is a tree of life to those who embrace her; happy are those who hold her tightly.

    Wisdom is from the Lord

    Psalm 111:10 NLT
Fear of the Lord is the foundation of true wisdom. All who obey his commandments will grow in wisdom. Praise him forever!

    James 1:5 NLT
If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking.

When you make good use your wisdom, it will change your life.

    ‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭1:7, 10-12‬ ‭NLT‬‬
That night God appeared to Solomon and said, “What do you want? Ask, and I will give it to you!” Give me the wisdom and knowledge to lead them properly, for who could possibly govern this great people of yours?” God said to Solomon, “Because your greatest desire is to help your people, and you did not ask for wealth, riches, fame, or even the death of your enemies or a long life, but rather you asked for wisdom and knowledge to properly govern my people— I will certainly give you the wisdom and knowledge you requested. But I will also give you wealth, riches, and fame such as no other king has had before you or will ever have in the future!”

Wisdom does not only look out for themselves but looks to bless others.

    James‬ ‭3:13‬ ‭NLT‬‬
If you are wise and understand God’s ways, prove it by living an honorable life, doing good works with the humility that comes from wisdom.
  • From the heart - a ‘no obligation’ life!

We have become children of God

    Romans 8:12-15 NLT
[12] Therefore, dear brothers and sisters, you have no obligation to do what your sinful nature urges you to do. [13] For if you live by its dictates, you will die. But if through the power of the Spirit you put to death the deeds of your sinful nature, you will live. [14] For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God. [15] So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God's Spirit when he adopted you as his own children. Now we call him, "Abba, Father."

We can live at a new level of purpose and blessing

    2 Corinthians 9:6-8 Voice
[6] But I will say this to encourage your generosity: the one who plants little harvests little, and the one who plants plenty harvests plenty. [7] Giving grows out of the heart-otherwise, you've reluctantly grumbled "yes" because you felt you had to or because you couldn't say "no," but this isn't the way God wants it. For we know that "God loves a cheerful giver." [8] God is ready to overwhelm you with more blessings than you could ever imagine so that you'll always be taken care of in every way and you'll have more than enough to share.

Serve Jesus and do life out of an overflow of a thankful heart

    Acts 2:46-47 NLT
[46] They worshiped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord's Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity- [47] all the while praising God and enjoying the goodwill of all the people. And each day the Lord added to their fellowship those who were being saved.

(Josh 24:15) But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”

(3) For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.
