By | Uncategorized | No Comments

Ecclesiastes 3:1 NLT
[1] For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven.
‭‭
Get a vision of a wonderful marriage

Proverbs 29:18 Voice
[18] Where there is no vision from God, the people run wild, but those who adhere to God’s instruction know genuine happiness.
‭‭
Protect yourself and your future with Godly boundaries

1 Thessalonians 4:3-5 NLT
[3] God’s will is for you to be holy, so stay away from all sexual sin. [4] Then each of you will control his own body and live in holiness and honor- [5] not in lustful passion like the pagans who do not know God and his ways.

Grow with Jesus now

1 Corinthians 13:4-7 NLT
[4] Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud [5] or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. [6] It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. [7] Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.

Mark 10:46-52 GNT) They came to Jericho, and as Jesus was leaving with his disciples and a large crowd, a blind beggar named Bartimaeus son of Timaeus was sitting by the road. (47) When he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to shout, “Jesus! Son of David! Have mercy on me!” (48) Many of the people scolded him and told him to be quiet. But he shouted even more loudly, “Son of David, have mercy on me!” (49) Jesus stopped and said, “Call him.” So they called the blind man. “Cheer up!” they said. “Get up, he is calling you.” (50) So he threw off his cloak, jumped up, and came to Jesus. (51) “What do you want me to do for you?” Jesus asked him. “Teacher,” the blind man answered, “I want to see again.” (52) “Go,” Jesus told him, “your faith has made you well.” At once he was able to see and followed Jesus on the road.

1. Some Moments Have Only One Chance

(Mark 10:46-47 GNT) They came to Jericho, and as Jesus was leaving with his disciples and a large crowd, a blind beggar named Bartimaeus son of Timaeus was sitting by the road. (47) When he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to shout, “Jesus! Son of David! Have mercy on me!”

(Ephesians 5:16 NIV) making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.

2. Shout louder!

(Mark 10:48 GNT) Many of the people scolded him and told him to be quiet. But he shouted even more loudly, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”

3. Cheer up and get up!

(Mark 10:49) Jesus stopped and said, “Call him.” So they called the blind man. “Cheer up!” they said. “Get up, he is calling you.”

4. Some old things have to be thrown away to get your new thing from God

(Mark 10:50-52 GNT) So he threw off his cloak, jumped up, and came to Jesus. (51) “What do you want me to do for you?” Jesus asked him. “Teacher,” the blind man answered, “I want to see again.” (52) “Go,” Jesus told him, “your faith has made you well.” At once he was able to see and followed Jesus on the road.

Come and sit with Jesus

Luke 10:38-42 NIV[38] As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to him. [39] She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what he said. [40] But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!” [41] “Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, *“you are worried and upset about many things,* [42] but few things are needed—or indeed only one. Mary has chosen what is *better*, and it will not be taken away from her.”

Keep the priority your relationship with Jesus

Philippians 3:8-9 NLT
[8] Yes, *everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord.* For his sake I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I could gain Christ [9] and become one with him. I no longer count on my own righteousness through obeying the law; rather, I become righteous through faith in Christ. For God’s way of making us right with himself depends on faith.

Step into His presence and give Him what’s in your heart

Psalm 62:8 NLT
[8] O my people, trust in him at all times. *Pour out your heart to him*, for God is our refuge.

Serve Him out of a place of joy and vision

Psalm 100:2 NKJV
[2] *Serve the LORD with gladness* ; Come before His presence with singing.

Confidence from God

God Word : knowing what God has done in your life gives confidence in life and leadership

Key story : an uneducated beggar is healed and stands up to an angry religious group

John 9:6-9 NLT
[6] Then he spit on the ground, made mud with the saliva, and spread the mud over the blind man’s eyes. [7] He told him, “Go wash yourself in the pool of Siloam” (Siloam means “sent”). So the man went and washed and came back seeing! [8] His neighbors and others who knew him as a blind beggar asked each other, “Isn’t this the man who used to sit and beg?” [9] Some said he was, and others said, “No, he just looks like him!” But the beggar kept saying, “Yes, I am the same one!”

Know what he’s done for you

John 9:24-25 NLT
[24] So for the second time they called in the man who had been blind and told him, “God should get the glory for this, because we know this man Jesus is a sinner.” [25] “I don’t know whether he is a sinner,” the man replied. “*But I know this: I was blind, and now I can see!*”

Follow Jesus

John 9:26-28 NLT
[26] “But what did he do?” they asked. “How did he heal you?” [27] “Look!” the man exclaimed. “I told you once. Didn’t you listen? Why do you want to hear it again? Do you want to become his disciples, *too*?” [28] Then they cursed him and said, “*You are his disciple*, but we are disciples of Moses!

Stand firm in your faith

John 9:29-30 NLT
[29] We know God spoke to Moses, but we don’t even know where this man comes from.” [30] “Why, that’s very strange!” the man replied. “*He healed my eyes, and yet you don’t know where he comes from?*

Deep relationships

John 14:9a NLT
[9] Jesus replied, “Have I been with you all this time, Philip, and *yet you still don’t know who I am*?

Love tangibly
1 John 3:16,18-19 NLT
[16] We know what real love is because Jesus gave up his life for us. So we also ought to give up our lives for our brothers and sisters. [18] Dear children, let’s not merely say that we love each other; *let us show the truth by our actions.* [19] Our actions will show that we belong to the truth, so we will be confident when we stand before God.

Live honestly
Ephesians 4:14-15 NLT
[14] Then we will no longer be immature like children. We won’t be tossed and blown about by every wind of new teaching. We will not be influenced when people try to trick us with lies so clever they sound like the truth. [15] Instead, we will *speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ,* who is the head of his body, the church.

Forgive continually

Luke 17:4 NLT
[4] *Even if that person wrongs you seven times a day* and each time turns again and asks forgiveness, you must forgive.”

You are a part of God’s family!

By | Uncategorized | No Comments

God Word – You can make a choice to be part of God’s family. Don’t sit on the fence but choose to be a son and daughter of the House.

Main story – the early church understood their identity had changed and started living differently as sons and daughters of God’s House.

Ephesians 2:19-22 New Living Translation (NLT)
So now you Gentiles are no longer strangers and foreigners. You are citizens along with all of God’s holy people. You are members of God’s family. Together, we are his house, built on the foundation of the apostles and the prophets. And the cornerstone is Christ Jesus himself. We are carefully joined together in him, becoming a holy temple for the Lord. Through him you Gentiles are also being made part of this dwelling where God lives by his Spirits.

Strangers
Foreigners
Citizens
God’s family

Acts 2:42-47 New Living Translation (NLT)
42 All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord’s Supper), and to prayer. 43 A deep sense of awe came over them all, and the apostles performed many miraculous signs and wonders. 44 And all the believers met together in one place and shared everything they had. 45 They sold their property and possessions and shared the money with those in need. 46 They worshiped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord’s Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity— 47 all the while praising God and enjoying the goodwill of all the people. And each day the Lord added to their fellowship those who were being saved.

1 They devoted themselves
2 They had a sense of awe and was expectant!
3 They were generous to the core.
4 They shared life together.
5 They had a heart to draw people in.

Loving the soil you’re planted in

Loving the soil you’re planted in

God Word : You can’t move forward if you hate where you are. Choose to see what God sees in your situation.

Main Story : Uzziah loved his city (loved the soil) even though it was a broken city. So he built into something great and God blessed him.

2 Chronicles 26:3a,5-10 NIV
[3a] Uzziah was sixteen years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem fifty-two years. [5] He sought God during the days of Zechariah, who instructed him in the fear of God. As long as he sought the Lord, God gave him success. [6] He went to war against the Philistines and broke down the walls of Gath, Jabneh and Ashdod. He then rebuilt towns near Ashdod and elsewhere among the Philistines. [7] God helped him against the Philistines and against the Arabs who lived in Gur Baal and against the Meunites. [8] The Ammonites brought tribute to Uzziah, and his fame spread as far as the border of Egypt, because he had become very powerful. [9] Uzziah built towers in Jerusalem at the Corner Gate, at the Valley Gate and at the angle of the wall, and he fortified them. [10] He also built towers in the wilderness and dug many cisterns, because he had much livestock in the foothills and in the plain. He had people working his fields and vineyards in the hills and in the fertile lands, *for he loved the soil.*

2 Chronicles 26:15 NLT
[15] And he built structures on the walls of Jerusalem, designed by experts to protect those who shot arrows and hurled large stones from the towers and the corners of the wall. His fame spread far and wide, for *the LORD gave him marvelous help, and he became very powerful*.

Decide to love where God’s planted you

Decide to flourish where God’s planted you

Decide to sow where God’s planted you

John 3:16 NIV
[16] For God *so loved the world that he gave* his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Godly decisions

Godly decisions

1 Corinthians 16:5-7 NLT
[5] I am coming to visit you after I have been to Macedonia, for I am planning to travel through Macedonia. [6] Perhaps I will stay awhile with you, possibly all winter, and then you can send me on my way to my next destination. [7] This time I don’t want to make just a short visit and then go right on. I want to come and stay awhile, if the Lord will let me.

Acts 16:6-10 NLT
[6] Next Paul and Silas traveled through the area of Phrygia and Galatia, because the Holy Spirit had prevented them from preaching the word in the province of Asia at that time. [7] Then coming to the borders of Mysia, they headed north for the province of Bithynia, but again the Spirit of Jesus did not allow them to go there. [8] So instead, they went on through Mysia to the seaport of Troas. [9] That night Paul had a vision: A man from Macedonia in northern Greece was standing there, pleading with him, “Come over to Macedonia and help us!” [10] So we decided to leave for Macedonia at once, having concluded that God was calling us to preach the Good News there.

1 – Keep God first (His kingdom)

Matthew 6:33 NIV
[33] But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

2 – Live with Godly character (His righteousness)

3 – Step forward in faith and humility

2 Timothy 1:7 NLT
[7] For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.

HOW MUCH DO YOU WANT IT?

(Jeremiah 29:11-14a NIV) For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. (12) Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. (13) You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. (14) I will be found by you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back from captivity.

(Matthew 7:7-8 NLT) “Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. (8) For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.

1. SEEK GOD FIRST

2. SEEK CONTINUALLY

3. SEEK STRONGLY (BELIEVING FOR AN OUTCOME)

(Mark 7:24-29 NIV) Jesus left that place and went to the vicinity of Tyre. He entered a house and did not want anyone to know it; yet he could not keep his presence secret. (25) In fact, as soon as she heard about him, a woman whose little daughter was possessed by an impure spirit came and fell at his feet. (26) The woman was a Greek, born in Syrian Phoenicia. She begged Jesus to drive the demon out of her daughter. (27) “First let the children eat all they want,” he told her, “for it is not right to take the children’s bread and toss it to the dogs.” (28) “Lord,” she replied, “even the dogs under the table eat the children’s crumbs.” (29) Then he told her, “For such a reply, you may go; the demon has left your daughter.”

1. SEEK GOD (YOUR HEAVENLY FATHER)

(Isaiah 55:6 NIV) Seek the Lord while he may be found; call on him while he is near.

(Luke 12:31-32 NIV) But seek his kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well. (32) “Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom.

2. SEEK GOD’S PLANS AND AMBITION FOR YOU

(Romans 15:20 NIV) It has always been my ambition to preach the gospel where Christ was not known, so that I would not be building on someone else’s foundation.

(2 Corinthians 5:9 NIV) So we make it our goal to please him, whether we are at home in the body or away from it.

(Matthew 6:19-21 NIV) “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. (20) But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. (21) For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

3. SEEK PASSION, GIFT, FRUITFULNESS

(Philippians 3:13-14 NIV) Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, (14) I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

4. AVOID SELFISH AMBITION

(James 3:16 NIV) For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice.
